Client: London Tourism. The People of London
Goal: I set out to create a visually engaging series of posters that capture the excitement of the annual London New Year’s Eve fireworks show. I wanted the posters to convey a sense of festivity while highlighting the event’s sophistication and tradition, aimed at encouraging both residents and tourists to attend.
Approach: I used muted red and blues to pay homage to the British flag while giving the posters a sense of sophistication. I added black to the color palette to emphasize the event that occurs at night. I designed three posters and two social media graphics that offered both cohesion and variety, each using similar colors and patterns. I utilized Photoshop to create digital collages of images, then put the images in Illustrator to further edit them and add text.
Result: The final collection is an eye-catching homage to the celebration and tradition surrounding London’s iconic New Year’s Eve firework show. The consistent color scheme, images, patterns and creative collage style gave the campaign a memorable, cohesive feel. The collection stands out in a public setting or on social media and provides a strong call to action for the viewer.
